Whether it's an initial enquiry or a direct booking request, I always like to meet with couples before the wedding to introduce myself, show you my extended portfolio and discuss your own photography requirements and ideas for the big day in more detail. It's a great opportunity for me to get to know you and for you to ask lots of questions about any aspect of my photography work and service.
I appreciate it's not always possible to meet up before you book me in, but I am always happy for you to discuss your photography personally either by phone or email.
I require a completed and signed booking form and a deposit of £250 to secure my wedding services for your wedding date.
As it can often be many months from the initial booking to the wedding date, I always like to meet up with couples again, ideally at both venues before the wedding day. This way we can have an informal walk around and chat about the day in terms of the photography and start to build an image of how the day will flow and which locations will best suit certain types of shots. Even if it's a venue I've worked at before, I still enjoy meeting up with couples beforehand to chat through everything and make sure any questions that you have in relation to the photography are answered.
I have a base in Edinburgh and Glasgow, so I'm happy to work anywhere in Scotland and throughout the UK. Travel costs are included in the packages for weddings within Scotland. Travel and accommodation rates will apply for weddings throughout the rest of the UK and Europe. Please phone me or drop me an email if you'd like to discuss these in more detail.
Yes. I recognise the importance of these shots for family and friends if not necessarily for the couple! They are an important record of the day and I always like to say to couples to try and aim for no more than around 10 formal shots. This allows me to get the best group shots in the shortest time possible while at the same time making it enjoyable for everyone who is a part of the process.
I am always sensitive to the fact that it's your day and not mine! While it's important to spend time with you to capture creatively strong and imaginative portraits, I don't whisk you away for 1.5 hours to produce a set of uncomfortable, cheesy images. There are lots of opportunities throughout the day to capture natural, candid and emotive images of the couple and I always want to make sure that you feel that the time you spend with me is creative and enjoyable and allows you to have a little break from proceedings, before you return to take in the celebrations with all your family and friends.
I use a combination of colour and black and white images to document your wedding. The balance varies from wedding to wedding, but on average around 40% of your final images will be black and white.
Yes, all of the packages include a high resolution, copyright free DVD allowing you to make your own prints and to copy the disc and distribute it amongst family and friends so that they can print from it directly.
